PM attends Palestinian refugee camps celebration of Jordan’s Independence Day
Amman, Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, on Thursday, attended at Al-Hussein Youth City a celebration of Jordan’s Independence Day, which organized by the Department of Palestinian Affairs, services committees and civil society institutions representing the Palestinian refugee camps in the Kingdom.
Addressing the gathering, in the presence of Minister of State for Media Affairs Jumana Ghunaimat, Razzaz said that the independence is an occasion that taught us to continue building and defending our country.
Razzaz reiterated Jordan’s stance towards the Palestinian cause that supports the two-state solution, stressing the rights of the Palestinians refugees to live in dignity.
At the end of the ceremony, a documentary was displayed on the independence story, and the Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
