Northern Badia hospital nurse tests positive for COVID-19

A nurse working at the Northern Badia hospital tested positive for the COVID-19 on Thursday, said Wael Hayajneh, the official overseeing the crisis in the northern governorates.

On the new case, Hayajneh said the nurse is a relative of a truck driver, whose infection was announced Wednesday evening.

The Civil Defense Department’s cadres were sent to the patient’s home in Mafraq, and transferred him to the King Abdullah I University Hospital, he stated.

Hayajneh directed the Mafraq Health Department to take all the necessary measures at the Northern Badia hospital through the epidemiological investigation teams, who are authorized to isolate any potentially infected cases to curb the spread of the virus.
