Dental Association’s elections postponed

Amman, Minister of Health, Ghazi Al-Zaben decided to postpone the Jordan Dental Association’s elections, which was scheduled to take place on the May 17th until after the holy month of Ramadan.

The association received a copy of the minister’s decision, and decided to postpone its General Assembly’s meeting of the to June 21, and to hold the elections a week after, on 28 June.

The association’s council had received about nine petitions demanding to address the Minister of Health to postpone the elections, and decided in its meeting the day before yesterday to address the Minister in this regard.

In his decision, the minister referred to article 37 of the association’s law which authorizes the minister to postpone the elections in the event of special circumstances.
