Amran Security Committee discusses security conditions and ways to enhance security and stability

At its meeting on Wednesday, chaired by Governor Faisal Jamaan, the Security Committee in Amran discussed security conditions and ways to strengthen the role of the security services in maintaining security and stability.

The meeting, which was attended by the governorate's agents, Abdulaziz Abu Kharafshah, Mohammed al-Mutawakel, Hassan al-Ashqas and Abdulghani al-Barushi, reviewed the report of the Director of Security of the governorate, Brigadier General Abdullah al-Khudher, on the functioning of the various security units and agencies during year 1444.

The meeting touched upon the tasks and duties of the Security Committee of Province and Districts Centres in combating and seizing crime prior to its occurrence, stabilizing security, strengthening tranquillity, protecting public and private establishments, and the security agencies' efforts in addressing various issues, including conflict issues.

At the meeting, Governor Jamaan stressed the importance of implementing the security plan and not tolerating everyone who seeks to disturb the general tranquillity of society. Lauded the role and functions of the security services in the implementation of their mandated tasks during the past period.

He urged that efforts be intensified and security vigilance raised, especially in the current situation, and stressed that citizens' awareness of the difficulty of the current phase of the country would contribute to addressing and resolving many security issues.

The Governor of Amran stressed the need for all to cooperate with the security forces in controlling crime before it occurs and maintaining security and stability.

The meeting assigned a committee headed by the First Undersecretary of the Governorate, Abu Kharfshah, to go down to the Directorate of Sawir to address and end the disputes with the people of the Jumaimah District in Hajjah, in coordination with the officials of the Hajjah Governorate, and to remove any developments in the disputed lands. The deputy governor of the governorate, Al-Mutawakkil, was also assigned to go to the Habbour Dhulaima district to resolve disputes and societal issues in the district.
