Amman: The Public Security Directorate (PSD) on Sunday released details regarding the arrest of a man accused of sexually assaulting minors at his home, following widespread reports of the incident on social media.
According to Jordan News Agency, the PSD spokesperson stated that the Family Protection Department received a report alleging that an individual in Amman had committed indecent assault against three minors inside his residence.
Authorities identified and summoned the minors involved, whose families subsequently filed formal legal complaints. The suspect was apprehended and referred to the Public Prosecutor of the Grand Criminal Court.
Following an initial investigation, the prosecutor ordered the suspect to be detained at a correctional and rehabilitation center on charges of indecent assault, pending further legal proceedings.
