Two women arrested in Irbid for flouting quarantine regulations

Two women were arrested Saturday in the northern city of Irbid for violating home quarantine orders in two separate incidents, head of the epidemiological tracing team in the city Ali Zeitawi said.

Zeitawi told Petra that two women in their 20s had been traced and brought back to their home, in which they have been in quarantine. The two took off their e-bracelets that had sent signals to the concerned authorities.

They will stand trial before the general prosecutor, and have pledged in writing not to violate the quarantine, Zeitawi added, emphasizing that it is the responsibility of the epidemiological tracing teams in cooperation with the competent authorities to detect quarantine violations.
