Slight drop in temperatures expected over next two days

Amman, A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Saturday and Sunday, as moderate weather conditions prevail in the highlands and plains, said the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

The JMD forecast moderate northwesterly winds, which are expected to pick up with possible raised dust especially in the eastern Badia region.

Mercury levels for today are expected to hover between 29 and 19 degrees Celsius in Amman, 29 – 18 in the northern cities, and 28 – 13 in the southern areas.

The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 39 degrees and lows dropping to 26 degrees Celsius, it added.

On Monday temperatures are expected to slightly rise, with moderate weather conditions prevailing in the highlands and plains, while it will be relatively hot in other areas.
