Slight drop in temperature expected over weekend

A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Friday but relatively hot conditions are still forecast in Amman and other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

Moderate weather conditions are expected to prevail Friday night in the mountainous and badia regions, but the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea will continue to have relatively hot weather, the JMD added.

As we head into Saturday, mercury levels will slightly drop, brining moderate conditions in the hilly areas and relatively hot weather in other regions. Similar weather conditions are also expected for Sunday.

Maximum temperatures in Amman for the coming three days will reach a high of 34 degrees Celsius and a low of 22. Mercury levels in the northern region will record a high of 33 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 21 degrees, while it will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba where thermometers will peak at 39 degrees Celsius, sliding to 25 degrees at night.
