Senate president signs anti-drugs, festive shooting document
Amman, Senate President Faisal Fayez on Tuesday signed an initiative document launched by the Public Security Directorate (PSD)’s community police department to combat narcotics and festive shooting.
The document, aims at gathering one million signatures, was also signed by senators as they believe that everyone should participate and assume responsibility in repelling the epidemic of narcotics that has started to spread among the society, in addition to bringing an end to the phenomenon of festive shooting.
Fayez said addressing these negative phenomena that are threatening the society is a shared responsibility and not just the responsibility of the PSD, calling on everyone to assume their responsibilities.
Fayez added that schools, families, universities and the civil society institutions should all play a role in bringing an end to these dangerous phenomena and spreading awareness of the risks they impose.
