Russian President Advisor meets Jordan’s Ambassador in Moscow
Russian President Advisor, Anton Kobyakov met Monday with Jordan’s Ambassador to Russia Amjad Adaileh, for a discussion on trade and economic relations between the two countries and joint cooperation.
Kobyakov said he was confident in the continued development of Russian-Jordanian relations in all directions.
The Russian advisor underlined the importance of promoting the already existing “strong contacts” between the two countries, noting the noticeable increase in the volume of trade, which rose more than twice.
He stressed the importance of bilateral cooperation in the field of human and religious relations between Russia and Jordan.
Kobyakov added that he expected the bilateral intergovernmental committee to resume its meeting in September, following a two-year stop.
“Jordan’s active participation in the upcoming St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will have a positive impact on the development of dialogue between the two countries in many fields, especially economy and trade ones,” Kobyakov concluded.
Ambassador Adaileh expressed interest in cooperating in the framework of the international economic events planned in Russia in 2018-2019.
Such interaction, Adaileh indicated, would help develop practical dialogue between states and organizations, stressing the importance of deepening economic cooperation with the Euro-Asian Economic Union (EAEU), as part of the phased implementation of the memorandum of cooperation signed between EAEU and the Government of Jordan in 2017 with a view to establishing future integration partnerships.
