Polish Senate passes Holocaust bill amid dispute with Israel

The Polish Senate, on Thursday approved controversial bill criminalizing using “Polish death camps” phrase to talk about Nazi Germany camps, which sparked a diplomatic dispute with Israel.

Israel said Warsaw was trying to “rewrite the history and deny the Holocaust”.

According to Agence France-Presse , the adoption of the law came hours after the United States expressed “concern” over the new legislation, warning of its repercussions on Poland’s interests and strategic relations, including the US and Israel.
