PM launches eight e-services in GAM
Amman, Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Tuesday launched eight new e-services at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) as part of the
e-transformation project due to be accomplished by the end of 2020.
Razzaz hailed the strides made by GAM in the e-transformation project being carried out in cooperation with the Ministries of Communications and Public Sector Development, which, he said, will reflect positively and raise the level of service to the public as well as save time and effort.
He said he felt a sense of seriousness in improving the kinds of services that had been short and slow in the past, including public transport, green areas and public parks.
The premier pointed out that the entry into service of 136 modern public buses later this year is a “qualitative leap” and a sign that more success has been achieved in this domain.
He urged further work to promote green areas in GAM, link the Amman Bus Rapid Transit project now underway with the city of Zarqa within a comprehensive public transport system, set up new entertainment and recreation facilities and build playgrounds for youth.
