Neighborhood in Mahes isolated after 2 Covid-19 infections reported
Authorities in Balqa’ governorate (northwest Amman) on Sunday isolated the Abu Bakr As-Siddiq neighborhood in the Mahes area, after two cases of the novel coronavirus were recorded.
Balqa’ governor, Nayef Hidayat told the Jordan News Agency (Petra) that the entire neighborhood was isolated for 48 hours, until results of samples collected from those in who were in contact with the two infected persons announced.
He pointed out that home isolation for the two infected persons’ houses will be maintained for two weeks until their safety is confirmed.
He added that the governorate health directorate’s epidemiological investigation teams are currently present in the Mahes area to collect samples of contacts as well as collecting random ones.
