Moderate conditions forecast until Friday
Amman, A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Wednesday, bringing moderate conditions in the hilly areas and the eastern plains, while it will be hot in other regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said .
Daytime temperatures forecast for today in Amman and the northern and southern cities will hover around 31 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 19, 20 and 16 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 41 degrees and lows standing at 25, the JMD said.
A further drop in mercury levels is expected on Thursday, becoming around their annual average, but moderate conditions will continue to prevail in the mountainous areas and plains, while it will be relatively hot in the Badia regions, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba with high clouds. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk at times, the JMD added.
As for Friday, temperatures are expected to rise again few degrees, but similar fair weather will remain in the hilly areas and plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the country with clouds at various altitudes and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the desert areas, the JMD noted.
