The Supreme Council condemned in the strongest terms the Swedish authorities' decision to allow extremists to burn copies of Holy Qur'an for the second time.
The Council considered the Swedish government's supervision of this work, and approval of such abuses as a dangerous escalation and incitement against Islam and Muslims in various countries of the world.
The statement indicated that this abusive act exposed the falsity of claims to respect religions and undermined the foundations of international coexistence, dialogue and peace.
The Judicial Council called on the Arab and Islamic countries, their scholars , peoples, and the relevant international bodies to move to take practical steps that have an effective impact against this country that offends the Book of God and the Islamic religion and those who tend to follow it, and put an end to these repeated racist practices towards Islam and the Holy Book of God.
