JOS 26th International Congress to Discuss Cancer Control Development

Amman: The 26th International Congress of the Jordan Oncology Society (JOS) is set to commence on Thursday, featuring significant Arab and global participation.

According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Sami Khatib, JOS and Congress Chairman, announced that the event will run until Saturday, offering 13 scientific lectures focusing on the latest oncology developments. These lectures will be spread over eight sessions and presented by both Arab and foreign experts in the field.

Khatib emphasized that the conference will address important issues in oncology, with a focus on breast and lung cancer, urinary, gastrointestinal, and gynecological tumors, as well as palliative care. The congress, accredited by the Jordanian Medical Council, will provide six hours for professional development and eight hours for discussions and lectures.

The statement also mentioned that experts will have the opportunity to present their research abstracts in a special session. In conjunction with the conference, a specialized medical exhibition will take place, showcasing the latest treatments and technologies in cancer control, with participation from local and international pharmaceutical companies.
