NCSC and JoPetrol Collaborate to Enhance Cybersecurity Measures

Hanoi:The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the Jordanian Petroleum Products Marketing Company (JoPetrol) have formalized a partnership through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cybersecurity cooperation and boosting JoPetrol's capabilities to tackle cyber threats.

According to Jordan News Agency, the MoU was signed by NCSC President Mohammad Smadi and JoPetrol Director General Khaled Al-Zoubi. This agreement is part of the NCSC's broader initiative to forge partnerships with key institutions in vital sectors to improve national coordination against cyber threats.

The MoU outlines a comprehensive plan to increase cybersecurity awareness among JoPetrol employees and integrate the company into national capacity-building programs and cybersecurity exercises conducted by the NCSC. This cooperation will also involve workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and the exchange of expertise to support JoPetrol's governance and compliance efforts, ultimately enhancing its cybersecurity maturity.

Mohammad Smadi emphasized the importance of these partnerships, particularly with institutions in crucial sectors, to protect digital assets and ensure service continuity. He highlighted the necessity of investing in institutional, human, and technical capabilities to keep up with evolving cyber threats, advocating for an integrated approach to cooperation and expertise-sharing to bolster prevention, response, and recovery capabilities.
