Israeli Minister of Agriculture storms Al-Aqsa Mosque

Israeli Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Uri Ariel, early Sunday, stormed into the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ Haram Al Sharif in the occupied holy city of Jerusalem, according to Palestinian sources.

The General Director of the Islamic Awqaf and al-Aqsa Affairs, Sheikh Azzam Al-Khatib, confirmed to Petra’s reporter in Ramallah the minister’s storming, adding he was accompanied by a group of extremist settlers, who entered Muslim’s holy shrine through al-Magharebah Gate.

The minster and the extremist, wearing Talmudic dress, provocatively toured the holy shrine under heavy protection of Israeli special forces and police, the Palestinian official said.

Al-Khatib denounced the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing this incursion comes as the Israeli occupation government allowed members of Knesset and ministers to renew break-ins into al-Aqsa yards.
