Germany introduces tougher anti-COVID restrictions

The German parliament is poised to pass a tranche of tougher anti-COVID measures, including a nighttime curfew and a cap on gatherings in case COVID-19 infections continue to rise.


The German News Agency cited the Robert Koch Institute as saying that more than 10,810 COVID-19 infections and a total of 294 people succumbed to the highly contagious disease in the last 24 hours.
