Israeli Human Rights Groups Accuse Israel of Genocide in Gaza

Jerusalem: Israeli human rights organizations B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel have accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza, aligning with definitions under international law. In a joint press conference held in Jerusalem, the organizations presented their claims against the Israeli government’s actions in the region.

According to Jordan News Agency, B’Tselem asserted that Israel is operating with a coordinated strategy aimed at dismantling Palestinian society in Gaza. The organization emphasized that these actions should not be perceived as collateral damage of war but as a deliberate policy targeting the population.

Physicians for Human Rights-Israel highlighted the systematic breakdown of Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure, attributing it to deliberate attacks on hospitals, hindrance of medical evacuations, and actions against medical personnel, including detention and killings.

Both organizations have raised concerns that the destructive patterns observed in Gaza may potentially spread to the occupied West Bank and other territories under Israeli jurisdiction.
