830 homes destroyed in Israeli assault on Gaza

Gaza, The Ministry of Public Works and Housing in the Gaza Strip said Monday that 130 homes were completely destroyed and 700 damaged in the two-day Israeli military assault on the blockaded enclave.

The ministry said in a statement on Monday that the residents of the apartments were left homeless in the Israeli attacks and air strikes, which killed about 27 Palestinians and wounded many more.

It said civil defence crews along with Red Crescent and UNRWA (UN refugee agency) workers were clearing debris and opening roads.
