Saudi Women from General Directorate of Passports Actively Participate in the Makkah Route Initiative in Indonesia

Surabaya, Saudi women working at the General Directorate of Passports team are actively participating in serving pilgrims within the Makkah Route Initiative implemented by the Ministry of Interior as part of the Pilgrim Experience Program, one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs. Travel procedures are finalized for pilgrims after collecting their biometric data and ensuring they meet the requirements. The initiative is implemented in seven beneficiary countries, Trkiye, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, Bangladesh and Côte d'Ivoire. The Saudi Press Agency met at the Surabaya Airport terminal in Indonesia with the women's team, who expressed happiness and a sense of responsibility and honor in serving the pilgrims in the host country of the initiative. The team, fluent in Indonesian, provides additional support to pilgrims and highlights the Kingdom's efforts in promoting the empowerment of Saudi women. The Makkah Route Initiative aims to streamline the procedures for pilgrims from their home countries. Upon their arrival in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, pilgrims are received in a special hall dedicated to the initiative and transferred to their places of residence without waiting at the airport.
