Giza: Inspection teams from the Ministry of Water and Irrigation/Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), in cooperation with relevant authorities, seized an illegal drilling rig in the Giza area, south of Amman. Official reports were filed and legal action was taken regarding the incident.
According to Jordan News Agency, during routine inspections conducted by internal control teams from the Jordan Water Company (Miyahuna) and JWA's workers in Zarqa's Ruseifa district, an illegal connection to a main water pipeline and unauthorized connections to several homes were discovered. The necessary procedures will be completed to refer the perpetrators to the competent authorities and assess the value and quantity of the stolen water.
