Parliament reviews report on field visits to number of customs centers

Parliament in its session held today, headed by Deputy Speaker of the House, Brother Abdul Salam Saleh Hashul Zabia, listened to the report of the Financial Affairs Committee regarding its field visit to a number of customs centers, including Al-Rahda Customs Center in Taiz province, Afar Customs Center, and the Dhamar Customs Office.

The report included the committee’s inquiries addressed to officials in those centers , their clarifications and responses to them regarding the completion of the infrastructure, the network system, the Scuda system, cranes, tampers, X-rays and other equipment necessary to facilitate and simplify procedures, and the most important difficulties facing the work of customs centers.

The Council decided to return the report to the committee for further study and to provide the Council with the results thereof.

In addition, the Council approved the inclusion of the report of the Local Authority Committee on evaluating the level of collection of local, joint public financial resources collected during the first half of the year 1444 AH at the level of administrative units in the capital Sana’a and the provinces a draft law for the year 2007 AD on arbitration, to its agenda for this period.
