Dozens of casualties in violent battles between Abidah tribes and Brotherhood militia in Marib

Dozens of elements of the pro-aggression Brotherhood militia in Marib province were killed and injured in violent confrontations with Al-Shabwan, one of the branches of Abidah's tribes.

A local source told Yemen News Agency (SABA) on Sunday that the confrontations were triggered by the shooting death of young Tawfiq Salih Qarih al-Shabwani, who was shot dead by members of the so-called Al-Tahsin point between Al-Kanayis and Al-Samda in the desert, which imposes illegal levies and fees on travellers, with tribes attacking the point and managing to control it, killing a number of its members and burning three armours and mechanisms.

Dozens of people were killed and injured in deadly confrontations between the Al-Fajih tribe and the Brotherhood militia in Wadi Abidah last week.

The occupied areas of Marib province are experiencing security chaos, popular boiling and repeated confrontations with tribes that reject the Brotherhood's practices and its ongoing violations against the people of the province.
