Company Registrations in Jordan Increase by 7% in First Half of 2026

Amman: Company registrations in Jordan surged 7% year-on-year during the first half of 2026, according to new data released on Monday by the Companies Control Department (CCD) of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply.

According to Jordan News Agency, new company registrations topped 3,753 between January and June, up from 3,493 during the same period in 2025. Total registered capital for the first half of the year surpassed JD148 million.

Limited liability companies accounted for the majority of new registrations, with 2,864 firms comprising 76.3% of the total, contributing more than JD46 million in capital. Private joint-stock companies followed, with registered capital exceeding JD69 million.

The report also indicated a 16% decline in company dissolutions, which fell to 473 cases compared with 562 in the same period last year. Net changes in capital increased by 5% year over year, while total capital gains, through new investments and capital increases, remained above JD1 billion for the second consecutive year.

Since the launch of electronic services in late 2020, 39,766 companies have registered online. The system processed more than 2.6 million follow-up requests and issued 567,111 electronic certificates and 101,129 archived document copies.
