COVID kills 42 in Jordan, positive tests at 9.3 percent

COVID-19 killed 42 in Jordan in the last 24 hours, as the death toll stands at 12,024 and some of 5,250 cases were recorded, as the caseload tops one million, according to the health ministry.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a press statement Monday that 9.38 percent of the 56,000 tests conducted today came back positive.

It highlighted 150 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 214 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients receiving medical treatment in hospitals hit 1,314.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom hovers around 66,320, it added.

Some 936,950 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
