Amman: The Amman Pharmaceutical Industries (API) has introduced a new medication to treat seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and sinusitis, reinforcing its position in Jordan’s pharmaceutical market and its global export network.
According to Jordan News Agency, the newly launched “Flumista” nasal spray combines the antihistamine azelastine hydrochloride with the corticosteroid fluticasone propionate, offering fast and long-lasting symptom relief.
The medication joins the company’s portfolio of 180 pharmaceutical formulations, produced at its 5,000-square-meter facility in King Abdullah II Industrial City in Sahab, which includes warehouses and multiple laboratories.
CEO and board member Fadi Al-Atrash stated that studies have shown “Flumista” provides faster and more comprehensive symptom control compared to conventional treatments, improving patient adherence and overall quality of life.

mulation underscores its commitment to pharmaceutical innovation.
Speaking at a recent event attended by ENT and respiratory specialists, Al-Atrash noted that Amman Pharmaceutical Industries is the first local company to manufacture this unique combination, positioning Jordan as a key player in advanced pharmaceutical solutions.
The company, founded in 1989, is certified for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and exports its products to 25 countries across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, North America, and Europe.
Specializing in treatments for ophthalmology, ENT, and respiratory conditions, the company has created 300 job opportunities for Jordanians, 55% of whom are women. It also operates offices in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Tunisia, and Iraq while integrating solar energy into its production processes.
Al-Atrash, who also represents the therapeutic industries and medical supplies sector at the Jordan Chamber of Industry, highlighted Jordan’s competitive investment environment, supported by governm
ent backing, skilled labor, and trade agreements with multiple countries.
