Jordan’s Aid Efforts in Gaza Mark Three Years of Continuous Support

Gaza:Amman Jordan has reached a three-year milestone in providing continuous aid to Gaza amidst ongoing challenges. The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO), in collaboration with the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army and international partners, has maintained its humanitarian response despite significant logistical obstacles and border closures.

According to Jordan News Agency, the Kingdom's relief efforts began on October 10, 2023, following directives from His Majesty King Abdullah II. Initially, the aid focused on emergency medical shipments and air-drops, but it has since expanded to include sustained support for local communities.

After the closure of border crossings on September 18, 2025, which disrupted traditional convoy routes, the JHCO adjusted its operations to work directly within Gaza. This involved cooperating with local partners and field teams to maintain relief efforts, such as running bakeries, distributing hot meals and clean water, delivering emergency shelter supplies, and supporting damaged healthcare facilities.

In addition to basic provisions, the JHCO has extended its efforts to include specialized medical support, orphan care, and targeted family assistance. This marks a shift from sporadic aid deliveries to a continuous humanitarian presence across the region.

Despite the complexities of the field situation, closed borders, and supply-chain challenges over the years, the JHCO has reiterated its commitment to sustaining aid delivery through any viable means to support the people of Gaza.
