Amman: The Fuel Pricing Committee at the Ministry of Energy announced on Thursday the decision to reduce prices of 90- and 95-octane gasoline while increasing the cost of diesel for the period from August 1-31.
According to Jordan News Agency, during its monthly meeting, the committee reviewed and compared the global prices of crude oil and petroleum derivatives for July against those of June. The review revealed a decrease in the prices of 90- and 95-octane gasoline, while diesel costs showed an increase in July.
After applying the global pricing equation to local fuel derivatives, it was determined that the prices of 90- and 95-octane gasoline would decrease by 10 fils per liter each. Conversely, the price of diesel would rise by 15 fils per liter.
