Abha, King Khalid University made significant progress in the QS World University Rankings 2025, jumping 160 positions globally compared to the previous year. It is now ranked 601 globally and has secured sixth place among Saudi universities. The University's Vice President of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Hamid bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, attributed these results to a strategic focus on academic and research excellence. The Supervisor of the University's international Classifications Unit, Dr. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Qahtani, emphasized the remarkable improvement in the university's academic reputation and research performance over the past five years, which has positively affected its international standings. Additionally, in its tenth meeting for the academic year 1445, the University Council approved a project to enhance the university's performance in international rankings for 2024-2026, aiming to further elevate its positions in various classifications.
