Makkah Route Initiative Provides Services at Istanbul Airport with Advanced Technologies for 2nd Year

Istanbul: The Makkah Route Initiative continues to provide services for pilgrims from Istanbul International Airport for the second consecutive year. This initiative, part of Saudi Vision 2030, utilizes advanced, high-quality technologies to offer an ideal experience for pilgrims through qualified Saudi personnel from eight government agencies. The initiative provides the latest procedural technologies that ensure ease and convenience for pilgrims. These include issuing electronic visas, registering biometric data, completing passport procedures at the departure airport after verifying health requirements, and tagging and sorting luggage according to transport and accommodation arrangements in the Kingdom. Upon arrival, pilgrims are directly transported to their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah, while service agencies deliver their luggage to their residences. Additionally, the Makkah Route Initiative has introduced a mobile counter, which automatically facilitates the procedures for the elderly and peo ple with disabilities safely and reliably. It includes a fingerprint sensor, passport reader, front and rear cameras, and a network for communicating and transferring beneficiary data to the Ministry of Interior systems for verification, ensuring the authenticity of travel documents and visas.
