3318 teachers receive 1st dose of anti-Coronavirus vaccine: Ministry

A total of 3318 male and female teachers received the first dose of the anti-Coronavirus vaccine on the first day of the national campaign to vaccinate educational personnel, which the Ministry of Health started on Tuesday, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Crisis Management Cell, in preparation for the safe return to schools at the beginning of the next academic year 2022 / 2021.

 

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Najwa Qubeilat, told the Jordan News Agency (Petra), that the campaign, which was launched on Tuesday from the Capital Governorate, includes all teachers in the public and private sectors who are registered on the vaccination platform (https://vaccine.jo).

 

She indicated that the vaccination centers designated for the campaign in witnessed a great turnout of teachers to obtain the vaccine.

 

The ministry, in order to protect the safety of teachers and avoid overcrowding, announced that it will receive 300 people in each of the four vaccination centers in Amman, starting tomorrow, and those whose names begin with the letters (a), (b), (c), (d), Qubeilat noted.

 

“The campaign will continue in order to achieve its goals in immunizing educational personnel against the Coronavirus, protect them and our students with the start of the next academic year,” Qubeilat added, indicating that the ministry will daily announce the developments of the campaign and the governorates that it will cover.

 

The ministry had designated 4 centers for vaccination in Amman.

 

Directorates of education in the governorates and districts of the Kingdom have finalized the identification of special centers to start the vaccination process for teachers.
