Irbid:Twenty-three researchers from Yarmouk University have been ranked among the world's top 2% of influential scientists in a database published by Stanford University, in collaboration with Elsevier.
According to Jordan News Agency, the inclusion of these researchers highlights the university's research excellence and the growing international presence of its academic staff. The number of Yarmouk University researchers on the list has increased from 18 to 23 in the past year.
University President Prof. Malik Al-Sharairi stated that this achievement reflects the university’s scientific and research expertise, as well as the dedication of its faculty members to advance scientific research and enhance its impact regionally and internationally. The university remains committed to fostering an environment that promotes research, creativity, and innovation.
Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies Prof. Muawiya Khattatbeh emphasized that supporting researchers is a priority, with initiatives such as funding distinguished research projects and facilitating scientific publishing. These efforts aim to improve the quality of scientific output and enhance the university's academic standing.
The list of recognized researchers includes faculty members from various departments such as Pharmacy, Information Technology and Computer Science, Science, Nursing, Medicine, Educational Sciences, Engineering Technology, and Mass Communication. This recognition is part of Yarmouk University’s ongoing efforts to support high-quality scientific output and encourage publications in internationally ranked academic journals.
