UN Rapporteur Accuses Israel of Concealing Evidence in Rafah Medics’ Deaths

Amman: United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, addressed the recent events in Gaza, asserting that the situation should be characterized as a “genocide” rather than a “war” due to the lack of protection for Palestinian lives.

According to Jordan News Agency, Albanese highlighted the killing of medics in Rafah as a significant piece of evidence that has been concealed. She claimed that the Israeli army operated without restrictions or controls in its actions against Palestinians. Albanese criticized Western leaders for prioritizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s protection over upholding international law and safeguarding Palestinian civilians.

Albanese further noted that freedoms are under threat in Western countries, advocating for a revolution against regimes that suppress freedoms and endanger civilians.
