Al-jizah: Civil Defense divers on Saturday responded to a tragic drowning incident in an agricultural pond located in Al-Jizah, south of Amman. A 53-year-old father and his two children, aged 7 and 15, lost their lives, as confirmed by the media spokesperson of the Public Security Directorate (PSD). The bodies were successfully recovered and transported to a hospital.
According to Jordan News Agency, a separate incident occurred where a man died of asphyxiation after inhaling toxic fumes from a gas heater. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he was later pronounced dead.
The PSD spokesperson emphasized the importance of using heating devices safely and ensuring regular ventilation of homes. The PSD also advised the public to ensure children's safety on farms and to prevent them from approaching agricultural ponds or rainwater accumulations to avoid similar tragedies.
