Amman: Preparatory meetings for the fifth session of the Jordanian-Qatari Joint Higher Committee commenced in Amman, led by Dana Al-Zoubi, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply, and Nayef Al-Emadi, Director of the Arab Affairs Department at the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation across various economic sectors, with the objective of formulating recommendations for the Higher Committee.
According to Jordan News Agency, the Higher Committee will be co-chaired by Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, alongside Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. Ministers from both nations will participate in the sessions aimed at fostering economic collaboration.
Al-Zoubi highlighted that the meetings would concentrate on strengthening economic ties to increase bilateral trade and encourage investment, leveraging the opportunities present in both countries. She emphasized that the resumption of these committee meetings signifies a joint interest in broadening cooperation and sharing expertise across multiple sectors.
Al-Emadi reiterated Qatar's dedication to advancing relations with Jordan, expressing optimism that the committee meetings will yield significant results that align with their shared aspirations for the future.
