Tawjihi Exam Automation Enhances Educational Efficiency in Jordan

Amman: Minister of Education, Dr. Azmi Mahafzeh, emphasized the significance of the ministry’s ongoing e-connectivity and protection project, which is being implemented in collaboration with Umniah, a Jordanian mobile network operator. The project aims to establish the necessary infrastructure to deliver Internet services to classrooms, thereby enhancing the efficiency of the Kingdom’s educational process through the use of modern technology.

According to Jordan News Agency, during a meeting with Umniah CEO, Faisal Jalahma, Mahafzeh commended the cooperation between the ministry and both public and private sector institutions, highlighting their crucial role in supporting the education sector. He noted that the collaboration with Umniah is a pivotal step towards developing and automating Jordan’s education sector and modernizing its methods.

Mahafzeh expressed optimism that the initiative would succeed and achieve its intended goals. He stated that automating the general secondary school certificate (Tawjihi) exams will help improve the efficiency of the educational process and increase access to learning services for students across the Kingdom. Additionally, he expressed hope that the partnership with Umniah will serve as a model for cooperation between Jordan’s public and private sectors.

Under a previously floated tender, Umniah is set to install devices in 500 schools and implement projects in 800 classrooms and laboratories throughout Jordan.
