Jordan University Hospital and Sonova Group Explore Enhanced Cooperation in Child Hearing Care

Amman: Director General of Jordan University Hospital Dr. Nader Bsoul met with a delegation from the Swiss Sonova Group, led by Vice President Jason Meyer, to discuss collaboration in caring for children with hearing loss.

According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Bsoul highlighted the hospital's roles in medical care, education, and research, expressing gratitude for Sonova's support in advancing diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation services for children with hearing impairments. He emphasized the importance of accessing advanced technologies to improve patient outcomes.

Meyer reiterated Sonova's dedication to supporting hearing-care initiatives, advocating for the exchange of expertise, enhancement of medical and technical staff capabilities, and the adoption of the latest hearing technologies. He outlined the ongoing commitment of Sonova to foster these initiatives.

Since the partnership's inception in 2024, Sonova has contributed significantly by establishing the National Centre for Children's Hearing Care, supporting audiology programmes, providing essential hearing aids and cochlear implants, and equipping both the hospital and the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences with specialized audiology equipment.

The delegation had the opportunity to tour the National Centre for Children's Hearing Care, receiving a comprehensive briefing on its diagnostic, intervention, and rehabilitation services tailored for children and their families.
