Karak: Schools across the Karak Governorate will remain closed on Thursday due to severe weather conditions, as announced by local education authorities. This measure affects all public and private schools within the governorate and aims to prioritize the safety of students and staff.
According to Jordan News Agency, Nidal Al-Ftainat, the Director of the Karak Education Directorate, made the decision in coordination with Karak Governor Qablan Al-Sharif. The move reflects the seriousness of the weather conditions affecting the region, with authorities emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the well-being of students.
Similarly, Ali Al-Fuqara, Director of the Southern Mazar District Education Directorate, coordinated with district administrators Ismat Al-Qaraleh and Iyad Al-Majali to implement the same precautionary measure. The decision to suspend classes in Southern Mazar aligns with regional efforts to protect both the student body and educational staff amid the challenging weather.
Additionally, Zahira Bani Atiyah, Director of the Qasr District Education Directorate, together with district administrators Sufyan Al-Hajaya and Ali Al-Zaidan, confirmed the suspension of school activities in Qasr and Faqou districts. Bani Atiyah reiterated that the decision is driven by a commitment to student safety given the current adverse weather conditions.
