PSUT and Chinese Embassy Explore AI Cooperation

Amman: President of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), Dr. Wijdan Abu Elhaija, engaged in discussions with Gong Anmin, the Minister Counselor at the Chinese Embassy in Jordan, focusing on enhancing cooperation in artificial intelligence (AI) and computer science fields.

According to Jordan News Agency, Abu Elhaija highlighted the university’s advancements in academic and research arenas, along with extracurricular initiatives designed to develop students’ skills. She emphasized the university’s dedication to strengthening international partnerships and contributing to innovation and business technology sectors, aligning with HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan’s directives for global academic integration.

Anmin commended the strong Jordanian-Chinese relations and acknowledged Jordan’s significant role in various sectors. He discussed strategies to bolster joint cooperation through academic and research exchange programs. Anmin praised the university’s students and noted PSUT’s approach to integrating technology across disciplines effectively.

During the meeting, a student dialogue on AI was held, showcasing active participation. The Chinese delegation also reviewed PSUT’s student projects in areas like computer science, engineering, and business technology, highlighting innovation and entrepreneurship. These projects underscored the importance of incorporating them into the university’s curriculum to meet the demands of local and international job markets.
