Prince Feisal Crowns Winners of Ayla Cycling Race

Aqaba: HRH Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, Founder and Chairman of Generations For Peace (GFP), crowned the winners of the “Ayla Cycling Race,” which attracted 185 cyclists from 17 countries.

According to Jordan News Agency, the race was organized for the first time by GFP and featured participants from various age groups who completed a 200-kilometre course. The route began at the Arab Potash Company gate near the Dead Sea and concluded at Ayla Oasis on the Red Sea shores in Aqaba.

Lama Hattab, CEO of Generations For Peace, emphasized the role of sport in fostering community ties and mutual respect. She noted the event’s blend of challenge and camaraderie and expressed pride in the collaboration that made the race possible, highlighting its potential to promote peace and cultural exchange.

Sahl Dudin, CEO of Ayla Oasis Company, expressed pride in hosting the event, which aligns with Ayla’s goals of supporting sport and sustainable tourism. He praised the cooperation between the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and Generations For Peace in organizing a successful event that showcases Jordan’s vibrant image globally.

The “Dead to Red” race, launched in 1993 by the Amman Road Runners, is recognized as one of the region’s prominent and enduring sporting events. It has attracted over 10,000 participants from 54 nationalities, symbolizing endurance and cultural exchange over three decades.
