Amman: Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yarub Qudah, emphasized the necessity of elevating economic cooperation between Jordan and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to match the robust political and social relations shared by both sides. During his participation in the “Success Stories and Promising Opportunities” session at the first Jordanian-Gulf Investment Conference, Qudah stated that the deep bonds established by His Majesty King Abdullah II with the leaders of the GCC countries form a solid foundation for enhancing economic partnerships.
According to Jordan News Agency, Qudah noted that the potential for economic integration between Jordan and the Gulf nations is far greater than current levels, especially in light of the global trend toward forming large economic blocs. The minister also expressed hope that the coming year will bring stability and open up significant economic opportunities, particularly in the reconstruction of Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria. He emphasized the need for collaborative efforts between Jordan and the Gulf nations to capitalize on these opportunities.
Qudah concluded by expressing optimism that the conference would lay the groundwork for establishing strategic partnerships between Gulf investors and their Jordanian counterparts, reinforcing Jordan’s role as a key gateway to seizing upcoming regional economic opportunities.
