The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected cold to very cold weather with frost forming in a number of provinces as a result of the continuation of the Siberian high air mass accompanying the cold air mass and its impact on mountain highlands, internal plateaus and deserts during the next 24 hours. The center said in its weather bulletin, a copy of which was received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that it expects very cold weather in Sa'ada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar and Al-Bayda provinces, with the possibility of frost forming in parts of them. The center indicated continued wind activity around the Socotra Archipelago, the southern and western coasts, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and the Gulf of Aden, with speeds between 15-26 knots. It reported that the lowest temperatures recorded at some weather monitoring stations this morning were -1 in Dhamar, -0.4 in Sana'a, 0 in Amran, 4.4 in Al-Sadda, 7.2 in Ataq, and 7.7 in Sayun. The center called on citizens, especially the elderly, chi ldren and patients in mountainous areas, inland plateaus and deserts, to wear winter clothes in order to preserve their health and prevent the cold wave. It urged farmers to take the necessary precautions and follow agricultural instructions to protect crops. Source: Yemen News Agency
