Amman: The Information Technology Department at Jordan Phosphate Mines Company (JPMC) has been awarded the globally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its Information Security Management System (ISMS), granted by TUV Austria.
According to Jordan News Agency, the certification reflects JPMC’s successful implementation of a comprehensive framework for information security governance. This framework aims to protect data and systems from cyber threats and operational risks while enhancing internal operational efficiency in line with global best practices.
Chairman of the Board Mohammad Thneibat acknowledged the achievement as a milestone in the company’s record of institutional excellence, complementing its broader successes across various operational domains. He emphasized JPMC’s ongoing commitment to integrating advanced technologies into its operations and continuously improving them to meet high international standards.
Thneibat stated that the certification underscores the company’s dedication to digital governance, data protection, and cybersecurity, aligning with global technological advancements to support business continuity and operational excellence.
JPMC CEO Abdel Wahab Al-Rawad described the certification as a key step in strengthening the company’s information security management. He praised the efforts of the IT department and all employees for their role in this achievement.
Al-Rawad noted that JPMC is prioritizing the enhancement of its digital infrastructure, reflecting its commitment to robust cybersecurity and business resilience.
