Irbid: Yarmouk University (YU) President Dr. Islam Massad expressed the university’s readiness to collaborate with Azerbaijan’s universities and educational institutions through student and faculty exchanges. The announcement came during a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Eldar Salimov.
According to Jordan News Agency, Dr. Massad highlighted the YU Language Center’s preparedness to welcome students for its Arabic Program for Speakers of Other Languages (APSOL). He emphasized the university’s aim to establish scientific and cultural connections with Azerbaijani universities in areas of shared interest. This initiative is expected to focus on technical education, aligning academic outcomes with the demands of local, regional, and international labor markets.
During the meeting, Ambassador Salimov commended the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, which he believes will serve as a foundation for academic, cultural, and economic partnerships. He underscored the embassy’s commitment to enhancing cooperation between the higher education sectors of both nations by encouraging student and faculty exchange programs across various academic disciplines.
