Jordan’s Leadership in Arab Digital Agenda Highlighted at Amman Forum

Amman: Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Samira Zoubi, emphasized the significance of the Digital Cooperation and Development Forum as a platform that brings together elite decision-makers and experts from various sectors, including the public and private sectors, the technology community, academia, civil society organizations, youth, and international organizations. Her remarks came during her participation in the opening of the second edition of the Digital Cooperation and Development Forum, held in Amman under the theme “Our Vision, Our World, Our Future.”

According to Jordan News Agency, Zoubi added that Jordan is among the pioneering countries in supporting the Arab Digital Agenda from its early stages, actively contributing to its development through the joint technical committee between the UN Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) and the Arab League. She highlighted Jordan’s pivotal role in preparing national digital reports aimed at assessing progress in digital development and identifying challenges and opportunities.

A ministry statement issued on Sunday noted that the forum, organized by ESCWA and the Arab League in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, aims to enhance regional and international digital cooperation, review progress in implementing the Arab Digital Agenda 2023-2033, and contribute to shaping the future of digital transformation in the region.

Zoubi noted that the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship is continuously working to develop digital infrastructure, enhance digital governance, and drive digital transformation in alignment with regional and international priorities.
