Amman: Speaker of the Lower House Mazen Al-Qadi emphasized the significance of King Abdullah II’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia and his meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, highlighting efforts to bolster Arab coordination and joint responses to regional threats.
According to Jordan News Agency, Al-Qadi noted that the subsequent trilateral summit with the Emir of Qatar underscored Jordan’s position that the security of Jordan and the Gulf is interconnected. Any threat to an Arab state, he asserted, poses a direct challenge to Arab national security.
Al-Qadi condemned recent Iranian attacks targeting Jordan and Gulf states as violations of national sovereignty that must cease immediately. He also expressed concern over the Israeli expansionist agenda, which seeks to leverage ongoing conflicts to alter the status quo in Palestinian territories, urging for comprehensive Arab collaboration to address these challenges.
He reiterated the Lower House’s unwavering support for King Abdullah II’s initiatives to restore regional security and stability, protect Arab sovereignty, and promote joint Arab initiatives. Al-Qadi also pledged full backing for the Jordan Armed Forces and security agencies in their efforts to maintain security, stability, and sovereignty.
