Amman: Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Qudah engaged in discussions with a United States delegation, led by Jacob McGee from the State Department’s Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic domain.
According to Jordan News Agency, Qudah and McGee emphasized the strong relations between their countries and the importance of building upon these ties to support reform processes, promote private sector-led growth, and improve the investment climate and business environment, especially within their strategic partnership framework.
Qudah elaborated on Jordan’s initiatives to reinforce the rule of law, protect labor and economic rights, and foster an investment-friendly environment through improved governance and investor experience. He highlighted government priorities under the Economic Modernization Vision, such as economic empowerment, increasing sectoral competitiveness, and strengthening the private sector’s role.
The minister reiterated Jordan’s dedication to advancing cooperation with the United States, particularly in trade and investment sectors.
McGee reaffirmed the United States’ ongoing support for Jordan’s reform efforts and stressed the significance of private investment partnerships. He noted the United States’ commitment to continuous coordination with Jordan in priority areas, considering current regional challenges and the Kingdom’s stability as a regional model.
