Inauguration free medical camp for eyes in Al-Hodeida


The Undersecretary of the General Authority for Zakat, Ali Al-Saqqaf, and the Hodeida province for Northern District Affairs, Ghaleb Hamza, in Al-Duha District, inaugurated the 59th free medical camp for ophthalmology and surgery, which is implemented by the Health Care Association for Affected Communities in coordination with Health Ministry , and with funding from the General Authority for Zakat.

The camp, which will be held at Al-Duha Hospital over a period of 6 days, in cooperation and coordination with the Public Health and Population Office in the province, aims to conduct free examination of more than 1,500 cases and perform surgical operations on more than 250 medical cases in the field of removing cataracts, conjunctival pterygium, and fatty cysts in the eyelids.

At the inauguration in the presence of the Head of the Health Committee of the Zakat Authority, Hassan Tamah, Al-Saqqaf stressed the keenness to support and finance the establishment of medical camps in the districts to alleviate the suffe
ring of citizens from the families of martyrs and the poor.

He pointed out that the camps aim to help the needy and meet needs in remote areas where services do not reach , contribute to enhancing social solidarity , charity for the poorest and neediest groups, in coordination with the leadership of the local authority and the province health office.

While Hamza praised the organization of the camp, which will serve the affected communities, provide medical services to citizens, and alleviate their suffering.

He called for the necessity of continuing to establish such camps in a number of affected districts to alleviate the suffering of patients from traveling to the province center.
